The sessions start with an introduction to the Bible and its timeline, placing the story within Biblical chronology.
We go on to give a dramatised, hands on presentation of the story with lots of exciting props and plenty of involvement for the children.
Each session includes a repeated refrain which the children learn to sign such as: ‘Noah loved God and did what He asked.’
The first part of the Workshop culminates with the retelling of the story with a fun song and signing before we then introduce the children to the Activity Zones. Here the children choose whether they want to be creative (write, draw or colour), work on word searches and puzzles or read and explore the Bible on their own.
To draw the Workshop to a close we reflect together on what we have learnt from the story and pupils are given an opportunity to join in a prayer by saying AMEN at the end.
The plenary session is also an opportunity to connect the story to the Christian faith today.
